How it works
From years of files to a sticker on your story.
StatsOverlay reads every run and ride you've recorded, works out what they say about you, and gives you a place to look at it closely. Nothing is locked, and nothing compares you with strangers. It takes three steps.
Bring your history
Connect Ride with GPS and your whole library comes across, with new activities following on their own. Or upload the archive Strava or Garmin Connect will send you, as one zip. Files from a watch work too: .fit, .gpx and .tcx.
Every activity is read
Each one is ranked against everything else you have done. Your best efforts are found inside every run and ride, not only races, and personal bests and notable firsts are picked out for you. Uploading the same activity twice is harmless: it is recognised and skipped.
Look closely, then share
Browse your report from all time down to a single day, chase a goal, or open any activity and turn it into a sticker: a transparent picture the size of a phone story, ready to go over your own photo.
Not sure how to get your activities out of where they are now? The export guides walk through Strava, Garmin Connect, your watch and the rest.
Inside
What you'll find once you're in.
- Report
- Your totals at four zoom levels: all time, a year, a month or a day. Every scope is its own address, so last October is a bookmark away.
- Activities
- Every run and ride with its route, splits and profile of elevation, heart rate and temperature, ranked against your history and against every other time on the same route.
- Records
- Your best time at every standard distance you have covered, found inside longer activities as well as races.
- Heatmap
- Every track you have recorded on one map, filtered by sport and by year, and shareable as a link.
- Goals
- A target for the year, the month or a season, with a marker showing where you should be by today.
- Gear
- Your shoes and bikes, and the distance on each. Retire a pair and its miles stay in your history.
- Stickers
- 45 designs in six sets, from clean stats to how you ranked. White or dark text and an accent to suit your photo, then share straight to Instagram or save the picture.
Questions
Before you ask for an invite.
- Which sports does it cover?
- Running and cycling. They are kept apart, because a mile run and a mile ridden do not add up to anything meaningful.
- Is there a subscription?
- No. There is no premium tier and nothing on any page is held back for one. It is invite-only while it grows.
- Do I have to stop using Strava or Garmin?
- No. Keep recording wherever you like. Activities that reach Ride with GPS follow on their own; from anywhere else, upload a fresh archive whenever you want to catch up, and the ones already here are skipped.
- Is there a feed, or followers?
- No. There are no public profiles and nothing to follow. The stickers are how you share, and they go where your friends already are.
- What happens to my files?
- They are kept whole, exactly as your device recorded them, and never sold or shared. You can delete your account, and everything in it, from Settings at any time.
What's kept, and what isn't, is on the privacy page.
